If you want perfection your at the right custom shop. We pride ourselves on our second to non custom paint finishes. People are always saying to us 'how do you get the paint that shiny'? Well that all comes down to the earlier preparation processes. Every stage is hand finished by skilled craftsmen that know the importance of perfection before paint, as this is what makes the paint job. We go all out to make sure the paint will be durable and hold up after the test of time. We also get asked a lot, 'how many coats of paint goes into a custom finish', with the House Of Kolor system we go with 4 coats of epoxy primer, 2 coats of ko-sealer, 3 -4 coats of base kolor, then 3 - 4 coats of clear coat and we also double clear as standard. This is then flat polished by hand for an awesome sharp shine that is just the finishing touch to a jaw dropping paint job.

Developing a clients original idea, is often the most challenging part of any project, client feedback is essential and is the basis to the finished custom paint work. The Devils Ride Team will spend time discussing a clients ideas then develop them into a final proposal often improving greatly on the original concept.

Careful planning and good preparation, are essential to the production of a lasting effective custom paint job.

Airbrushing

Airbrushing is a specialised painting technique involving a miniature spray gun, and a skilled airbrush artist, (we have 2!) this combination allows incredibly dynamic artwork to be applied to virtually any internal or external surface, and to any scale.

Matt and Adam are one of those rare talents, highly motivated, vastly experienced and totally professional in any artwork project they're involved with. There seems to be no limit to the scale and diversity of they're airbrush work.

Bodywork

From metal upwards we prepare every stage to perfection and use cutting edge materials along with tried and tested methods to make sure that our paint finishes/body/panel modifications last without sinking and mapping out. Our trusted materials make a solid foundation for our prestigious paint finishes. We like our paint finishes to be ultra durable so we use super flexible anti stone chip resistant epoxy primer from House Of Kolor. We then use a second high quality sealer primer which also helps for paint adhesion and stops the base kolor sinking into the epoxy primer so your paint finish will hold out for years.

Matt - Airbrush artist

Matt has been airbrushing for 23 years and has created some amazing master pieces from trucks to fair ground rides, that can been seen all over the UK and Europe. Matt has received many prestigious awards for his work and is soon to release a picture book off many master pieces aimed to admire and inspire. Most of Matt's work is painted through the night and needs to achieve impossible deadlines which makes him a very efficient painter. This is a god send in a busy custom shop like Devils Ride. Matt like's to push the limits of what is possible with paint and always comes out of a project with a new trick up his sleeve, which makes him an innovator of his trade. Matt's favourite art style is realest portrait work and is famous for his ability with skin texture and tone, and is known to be one of the best about.

Adam - Airbrush artist

Adam Haden has been in the airbrush industry since the early 90's and has received many magazine features and awards for his superb master pieces. Adam is known to be one of the most versatile airbrush artists around and has a natural talent that is highly motivated with a professional attitude to any art project he's involved with, there really does seem to be no limits to the scale and diversity of his art. Adam is a excellent part of the Devils Ride Team and always brings new and exciting ideas to the table with a fresh attitude to custom paint/airbrush art, and is a inspiration to many other artists.
